For Pearl Channel: A regular spot of a higher rate level pre-empts a regular spot of a lower rate level in the order of: F9, F8A, F8, F7A, F7, F6A, F6, F5A, F5, F4A, F4, F3A, F3, F2, F1, FB and RB
B. FIXED-EIGHT-A RATE (CODE F8A)
Subject to availability, fixed position spots may be bought at the F8A rate. These F8A spots are subject to pre-emption by another advertiser buying at the F9 rate up to SEVEN* (7) days before the date of telecast.
Spot pre-emption will take place up to:
(i) SEVEN* (7) days before the date of telecast for spots booked at the F4 rate and above, and
(ii) THREE* (3) days before the date of telecast for spots booked at the F3A rate and below.
Under normal circumstances, spot pre-empted may either be rescheduled to a different date or time, or converted to another Booking or cancelled at the advertiser's discretion. Subject to airtime availability, the Station will offer the advertiser an alternative to the pre-empted spot.
If this offer is made SEVEN* (7) days or more before the date of telecast, the advertiser concerned should notify the Station in writing within FOUR* (4) days from the date of the Station's offer if it does not accept the alternative or if it wishes to cancel the spot.
If the offer is made between THREE* (3) days to SIX* (6) days before the date of telecast, the advertiser concerned should notify the Station in writing within TWO* (2) days from the date of the Station's offer if it does not accept the alternative or if it wishes to cancel the spot. Failing this, the advertiser will be deemed to have accepted the Station's offer of the alternative to the pre-empted spot.
