Lung (Yuen Wah) was the only son of the richest man in Fo Shan. He was infatuated with martial arts and invested a huge amount of money on learning it. He didn't know that his mother has bribed all his teachers and opponents so as to trick Lung into believing he is the best kung-fu master in town.

Then one day, Lung met his childhood friend Yung (Ng Ngai Cheung) and finally discovered he was being fooled all along. Furthermore, he was heart-broken to find his best friend Kuk (Chan Miu Ying), whom he secretly admired for a long time, has fallen in love with Yung. At the age of forty, how could Lung face with so cruel a reality?
