TVBI offers two television channels, the Cantonese-language TVB Jade
Satellite Channel (TVBJ) and the Mandarin-language TVBS-Asia,
to Singaporean viewers via the distribution network of Singapore CableVision (SCV), the
only cable television operator in Singapore.

TVBJ
Formerly known as TVB Zongyi Channel, TVBJ is offered as a premium service to SCV
subscribers. TVBJ is also the only dialect channel in Singapore delivering an enticing
mix of TVB programs in its original Cantonese language -- same-day satellite-delivered
TVB news from Hong Kong, up-to-date infotainment programs, riveting dramas and sitcoms,
heart-rending music specials, exhilarating game shows and star-studded spectaculars.
TVBJ's subscription has been increasing since June, 1997 when its broadcast schedule
was extended to cover 11 hours daily of non-stop TVB Cantonese entertainment.

 TVBS-Asia
Broadcast 24 hours daily in Mandarin
language, TVBS-Asia offers viewers in Singapore quality television entertainment
from Taiwan. It has an exciting  menu that includes talk shows, entertainment news,
pop concerts, drama serials, game shows, live daily news broadcast beamed from Taiwan
and lifestyle and magazine programs, all of them are high-rated and quality Mandarin
programmes from Taiwan.

Viewership
The current combined reach of TVBJ and TVBS-Asia measures to 220,000 households in
Singapore. It is estimated that when the entire country is cable ready in the last
quarter of 1999, over one million viewers will then be able to watch TVBJ and TVBS-Asia
via SCV.
