TV Transposers Use New Channels for Broadcast of Pearl Channel


To better co-ordinate the Digital Terrestrial Television channels between Hong Kong and the Mainland, four TV transposers will use new channels for broadcast of Pearl channel under the arrangement of the Office of the Telecommunications Authority. The channels currently adopted to transmit Pearl channel will be switched off by stages starting from June and residents must re-tune to new channels before they can watch Pearl channel, details are as follows:

Tseung Kwan O Village Transposer Station
Affected area : Tseung Kwan O Village
Currently adopted channel : Channel 32
Newly assigned channel : Channel 28 (starting to operate on 27 May)

Hung Fa Leng Transposer Station
Affected area : Sha Tau Kok, Kwan Tei
Currently adopted channel : Channel 50
Newly assigned channel : Channel 38 (starting to operate on 28 May)

Tsuen Wan Transposer Station
Affected area : Tsuen Wan (Yeung Uk Road area)
Currently adopted channel : Channel 57
Newly assigned channel : Channel 36 (starting to operate on 4 June)

Tai Lam Chung Transposer Station
Affected area : Tai Lam Chung, Siu Lam, Correctional Institution
Currently adopted channel : Channel 50
Newly assigned channel : Channel 39 (starting to operate on 5 June)
