Retirement of Mr. T K Ho
and Appointment of Mr. George Chan
Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) today announces that Mr. T K Ho, Group General Manager, will retire from the Group with effect from 1 May, 2005. Mr. Ho, who is at present on pre-retirement leave, will remain as a non-executive director of TVB.
Mr. Ho has worked in TVB for more than 35 years. TVB wishes to express its gratitude and appreciation for Mr. Ho's extremely valuable and significant contributions to the Group during his tenure and wish him a happy retirement. TVB is pleased that Mr. Ho will remain as a non-executive director of TVB. His wealth of experience in television industry will no doubt continue to benefit the Group.
Mr. George Chan, Assistant Managing Director, will take over Mr. Ho's duties and will be responsible for the overall operation of the Group. After a successful career as a director of several prominent companies engaged in media, telecommunication and technology businesses, Mr. Chan re-joined TVB last year (2004) at the current position.
TVB is confident that, with Mr. Chan at the helm, the TVB management team will continue to lead the Company to further growth in a new era.
